5 Benefits Of Buying A Custom-Made Suit

5 Benefits Of Buying A Custom-Made Suit

The purchase of a tailored suit is an excellent option to build your wardrobe, or planning your outfit for a special event. Many times buying off the rack can work, but sometimes it doesn't. Here are 5 reasons why my clients prefer buying a custom suit vs off the rack suit:

1. The Fit

The body of every woman and man is different. They also like garments that are different. When shopping for an off the rack suit, you can't always find the right fit and feel you desire. Sure, you can always tailor the suit but still it won't be fitting. It's impossible to alter the shoulder, chest, back and crossback, armhole and shoulder. When having a custom suits NYC made, the fit issues are considered, and the jacket and pants are built from the beginning to address these issues of fit.

2. The quality

When I design custom suits for my clients I work with mills that produce the highest quality fabrics in the world. There are super 110's that contain 100% wool, others are super 170's wool cashmere blend and everything in between. Mills' fabric lasts for hundreds of years. When you purchase off the shelf there is no guarantee of the quality or where the fabric came from. And, what is the best way to care for it and whether it's appropriate for the purpose of the suit. When I ask my customers what their favorite purple suit color is, and based on the shape of their bodies I assist them in choosing the right fabric and quality to suit their needs.  Custom Suits NYC  guide them on about how to care for their dress. The majority of suits that are on display are fused. This means that the front of the suit is coated with glue in order to give it its shape. Canvas is the material I use to make my suits and give them shape. Canvas is more durable than glue and is more robust. After many clean-ups, the glue fusing tends to break and bubble up. You may have seen this on your off-the-rack clothes. This won't happen with the canvas suits I make.

3. Selecting the Pattern and designing the garmen

You can pick the fabric and size of your custom suit. This includes:

Pockets

Lapels

Lining

Buttons

Vents

Shoulder Pad

Pick Stitching

More details about thread colors

This may seem overwhelming; but I'll guide you through each step and step. You can make it easy by choosing only certain aspects, but not all. The designer or brand will determine the specifics of your choice when you buy it off the shelf. This is fine for simple colours and solids. However, if you want something more intricate or in a particular color or a particular shade of blue, it might not be an issue. If you want a tailored suit, you can bring an image of what you're seeking and I will find that look for you and give you many options to choose from.

4. It's convenient and saves Time

All of your measurements and information are recorded when you create a custom suit. If you ever require a jacket or suit, I can put the suit together and you don't have to visit the store. Most clients select 2-4 of the fabrics they love at the time of their initial visit. I store these fabrics in the file so that when they want their next suit I will know which blue check or grey fabric they were eyeing. It's not necessary to bring them to the shop to obtain all the details. They can also send me photos of lining and buttons to assist them in choosing. My clients' girlfriends, wives, and partners also appreciate it because they can come in and browse for items.

5. It's enjoyable

Custom suit, is a way for women and men to express themselves. No one else will have that suit and it's personal to him or her. Your personal style is evident through the clothes you wear and customizing it is a great way to show your individuality. Everything from the shade to how it fits to the fabric. It's great to feel good in a garment you've made. Wearing clothes that fit you can make you feel more confident and happy. It's exciting! It's FUN! I promise.
